de ce ma fascineaza rockul si muzica simfonica

Nu as putea spune ca am ceva cu alte genuri de muzica, dar imi rezerv, ca orice om, dreptul de a-mi da cu parerea despre ce am eu chef.

- Mai ales ca asta e blogul meu :P

Spre deosebire de muzica bumti-bumti generata pe computer, unde la concert vine un nenea smecher care invarte un disc si transpira acolo de nu mai poate la cat efort a depus el sa scripteze niste sunete pe comp.

Si spre deosebire de tanti-pitzi care macar se zbate acolo ca molusca pe scena, in fustite scurte si colorate si toace de 10 cm, facand playback.

Si, da, mai ales, spre deosebire de nea Salamu’ de mai stiu eu unde care e mare gigolo cu burta data pe afara si lant de aur la gat.

 

Rockul si muzica simfonica au si mereu vor avea pt. mine ceva foarte aparte: nu numai ca probabil sunt singurele genuri suficient de flexibile cat sa exprime intreaga gama de sentimente umane, dar mai ales ma impresioneaza prestatiile live. Nu am intalnit pana acum o trupa/piesa care sa sune mai bine la o inregistrare in studio, fata de una live – provided ofc ca inregistrarea e cat de cat de calitate si sunetistii nu si-au batut joc de artistii aia.

Cel mai tare mi se pare faptul ca sunt acolo 4-5 oameni (sau zeci – daca vorbim de o orchestra), ale caror creiere sunt sincronizate. Multa munca, mult exercitiu si mai ales geniu. Imi place sa vad orchestra simfonica din Korea interpretand ceva din Offenbach. E lumina, se uita la partituri, organizat frumos, oamenii stau pe scaune samd. E greu si frumos.

Dar cei mai tari sunt artistii rock. Pana mea: fum, intuneric, flashing lights, alcool, nebunie. Si cand ii vezi cu cata maiestrie interpreteaza partiturile alea complicate, la instrumente diferite, cu oamenii tipand in jurul lor, uneori super beti, prin fum si pe intuneric. Si..da, uitasem: sincron!

Si suna atat de bine impreuna!

why do the metal bands do that?

Recently I am thinking about PoisonBlack, specifically. The only song of theirs that I actually like is Rush. I haven’t listened to all of them, because I simply did not have the patience to do that!

Man, Love InfernalMercury Falling…what’s up with that CRAP? My feeling is that they are trying to resemble HIM. Now, I know HIM is a big hit and everything, but most of HIM’s songs sound all the same. A PoisonBlack sounding like HIM, but not being HIM just does not make any freaking sense!

The saddest part of the story is that I actually LOVE Sentenced.

The Sentenced vocal, Ville Laihiala, is now the vocal of PoisonBlack. Unfortunately, Sentenced dissolved in 2006, after Miika Tenkula’s death. Miika Tenkula was writing most of the Sentenced songs – and boy, they were SUPER!

Now, if I am to go to a concert, hoping to listen to …at least _something_ that sounds like Sentenced, I have nowhere to go. I wish PoisonBlack were more like Sentenced, but only Rush sounds good, as far as I can tell so far. If only Miika were still alive! He would continue to write cool songs, and boring PoisonBlack band will have never been invented.

Sabaton 2011 – Bucharest

‘ve been there: super freaking CRAZY

That guy is absolutely nuts. He laughed and made jokes the entire concert; at the beginning he said he loves our beer and our women and he’s pretty sure he’s going to get very drunk and dance naked on the scene.

Close to the end of the show he managed to snap his pants, so that all of us could see his underwear.

Boito – Iago – Verdi – Credo

Arrigo Boito e nenea care a scris libretele pentru Otello si Falstaff ale lui Verdi. Asta a fost cea mai tare colaborare intre un poet si un compozitor, pacat ca nu s-a intamplat mai devreme, ba mai mult, chiar a inceput cu un conflict intre antipaticul tanar Arrigo, pus pe rasturnat si dispretuit compozitorii contemporani lui si Verdi, cel mai cunoscut compozitor la acel moment, worldwide.

Ceea ce mi-a placut cel mai tare la Otello (Verdi’s Otello, cum se zice pentru a-l departaja de Rossini’s Otello :P ) este partea care nu e facuta dupa Shakespeare, ci din entuziasmul si creativitatea lui Arrigo Boito, Credo. Verdi iubeste versiunea aceasta a Crezului, plina de rautate si ura la adresa lui Dumnezeu, departe de orice alt Crez interpretat vreodata, un Crez al lui Iago in rautatea omului, ca si creatie a unul Dumnezeu rau. Iago e noul Macbeth al lui Verdi, pentru care nu vrea o interpretare frumoasa, ci una cat mai urata si mai malefica.

E de spus ca Otello a avut un succes rasunator la premiera sa din La Scala – Milano. Cred ca a fost prima opera in care s-a folosit electricitatea pentru a lumina scena (initial scena era luminata cu lumanari, de unde operele statice si inchise, fara prea mult joc scenic, apoi luminate cu gaz) – pe langa alte chestii care l-au facut pe Verdi un pioner (primul autor care a decis ca drepturile de autor pentru opera sa ramana ale compozitorului, primul care a castigat un proces important impotriva cenzorilor pentru a-si pastra opera nealterata, nu mai zic de disputele cu biserica …samd). Verdi a refuzat pe cea mai tare soprana la ora actuala in rolul lui Macbeth, pentru ca el voia pe cineva care sa cante urat…

Verdi a avut drepturi absolute asupra operei Otello. El a decis cum arata posterul de prezentare ( pe care btw nu a trecut nicio data de lansare), cata publicitate sa se faca, cine e in distributie, cate repetitii se fac si chiar sa anuleze definitiv premiera chiar si cu o zi inainte, daca asa dorea el. Asa se face ca premiera lui Otello a devenit un subiect de speculatie, pasiune nebuna a italienilor, de angoasa, de asteptare. Iar deja dupa primul pasaj coral, Verdi e chemat pe scena, aplaudat, iar dupa premiera multimea nu il lasa nici sa ajunga la trasura, si opresc trasura, doar ca sa-l aiba in mijloc lor. Nu mai zic de tipete, nebunie, lesinuri, samd. Talking about mass isteria cam ca la concertele lui Michael Jackson :P – doar ca aici vorbim de arta adevarata.
